DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October 4th) sold 2,502 store sheep at their sale of Blackface and Cross ewes, gimmers, and ewe lambs.

Ewe Lambs (96) sold to £260 for a pen of Blackfaces from Mill of Towie, Keith.

Store Lambs (78) sold to £130 cross from Crackaig Blackies, Ardersier.

Ewes (1,913) sold to £140 gross twice from Newton of Crathie, Ballater and once from Kilmaluah House, Duntulm. 

Gimmers (415) sold to £400 Mill of Towie, Keith.

“Select Blackface gimmers met a phenomenal enquiry topping at £400 for a pair from Messrs Smith, Towiemore. Hisha Acc ewes met a firm enquiry and many more could easily have been sold, whilst other correct ewes met a more hesitant enquiry.”
