Blackie boys went to town for the second days trading at Lanark, ensuring a rip-roaring trade from start to finish complete with a cracking £60,000 sale leader for Soapy the pen leader from Alastair MacArthur, Nunnerie, Elvanfoot.

Tops was Soapy, a son of a £20,000 Midlock bought at Lanark as a lamb in 2007 out of a ewe by a £49,000 Glenrath. Buying back some of their own bloodlines, this cracker sold in a three-way-split to Allan Wight and son Allan, Midlock, Crawford; John Campbell and Sons, Glenrath, Peebles, and Willie Dunlop and sons, Quintin and William, Elmscleugh, Dunbar.
