Boyant Trade at Dalmally Breeding Sheep Sale as Blackface Ewes sell to £240.

At United Auctions newly revamped Market at Dalmally, trade was electric in all sections at the Annual Breeding Sheep Sale when 5876 head were sold. Leading the days trading was Mr Willie MacNicol, Claddich when his 5 year old Blackface Stud Ewes sold to £240. M/s MacLarty, Littleport topped the Blackface Draft Ewes at £70 and the 3467 Blackface Draft Ewes sold to average £50.36. Blackface Gimmers from Saulmore Farm & Balliemeanoch led their section at £112 whilst Mule Gimmers from Glenshellach sold to £105 and Blackface Ewe Lambs from Mr MacKay, Millpark sold to £86. Dalmally Market witnessed the largest ever turnout of buyers seeking breeding sheep from all the principal farming counties of Scotland.
